Hello, my name is Helen, and I’m the person behind Rowan’s House, a specialist cat sitting and dog sitting service based in Rochford, Essex.
Rowan’s House was created from a deep respect for animals, and a belief that the best pet care happens when animals are able to remain in their own familiar home environment. Many pets find change stressful, particularly elderly animals, anxious or sensitive pets, and those with medical or behavioural needs. I provide calm, consistent, in-home pet sitting to support your pet’s wellbeing while you are away.
I offer a fully insured specialist pet sitting services for Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Sussex and Kent, working primarily with indoor-only cats, multi-pet households, senior pets, and dogs who benefit from knowledgeable, low-stress handling.
Alongside my practical experience, I am trained in holistic animal care, animal herbalism, and canine and feline first aid, with ongoing professional development in canine behaviour and pet bereavement support. This background allows me to recognise subtle changes in behaviour or health and to care confidently for pets who may struggle with unfamiliar people or disruption to their routine.
