Holistic Wellness Consultation
A whole-animal assessment - and recommendations you can actually use.

The Holistic Wellness Consultation is my most comprehensive service for animals.  It starts before the session even begins - with a detailed intake form that gives me a full picture of your animal's life, history, health, and behaviour.  The session itself then takes whatever direction is most useful: herbal recommendations, nutritional guidance, behavioural support, or a combination of all three.

No two consultations look the same, because no two animals are the same. I do not arrive with a fixed protocol.  I will arrive prepared - and ready to listen.

BEFORE YOUR SESSION

The intake form:

Before your consultation, I will send you a detailed intake form via Tally to complete in your own time.  This is not a formality - it is the foundation of the session.  The more thoroughly it is completed, the more useful your time together will be.

The form must be returned at least 5 days before the date of the session.

The form covers:

          • Behaviour - what you are observing day to day, what concerns you, what has changed

             and when

          • Health - current conditions, any medications, vet history, and anything ongoing

          • Diet and nutrition - what your animal eats, how much, how often, and any known

             sensitivities

          • Daily routine - exercise, rest, social contact, time alone, and how these affect your animal

          • Previous life and history - particularly important for rescue animals or those who came to

             you as adults

           • Home environment - who else lives there (people and animals), any recent changes,

and anything that seems to affect your animal's mood or behaviour

WHAT THE SESSION COVERS

The session is a conversation, not a lecture.   We will work through what I have found in the intake form, asks follow-up questions, and builds recommendations alongside you - so that you understand the reasoning, not just the outcome.

Depending on what your animal needs, those recommendations might draw on:

          • Herbalism - specific herbs, preparations, and dosing guidance, rooted in my

qualification as a Herbalist.  This might include dried herbs, tinctures, teas, or

topical preparations depending on what is appropriate.

          • Nutrition and diet - practical, achievable adjustments to what your animal eats

and how they are fed, drawing on my training in canine holistic health and nutrition.

          • Behavioural understanding - insight into what your animal's behaviour is

communicating, and how small changes to routine, environment, or interaction

can shift long-standing patterns.  Drawn from my qualification in canine

             behaviour training.

          • Lifestyle - broader recommendations around exercise, rest, enrichment, and daily

             routine that support long-term wellbeing.

For some animals, the session focuses primarily on one area. For others, it draws across several.

I follow what is most needed - not a formula.

FOLLOW-UP SESSIONS

A 30-minute follow-up session is available to clients who have already had an initial Holistic Wellness Consultation.  Follow-ups give you a space to review how recommendations have landed - what has helped, what needs adjusting, and where to go next.

I recommend allowing two weeks between an initial consultation and a follow-up where possible, so that there is time to observe how your animal responds to any changes.

MY QUALIFICATIONS

What underpins this service

The Holistic Wellness Consultation draws together my full range of animal health qualifications.

These include:

          • Canine Holistic Health and Therapy

          • Master Herbalist and Advanced Master Herbalist

          • Canine Behaviour Training

          • Herbalism for Animals (covering nutrition, lifestyle, and plant-based remedies)

          • Currently studying: Zoopharmacognosy and Scent Detection

I do not currently offer homeopathy, essential oils, or Chinese herbal medicine as part of this consultation - these are areas I intend to pursue further in the future.  If these form part of your animal's existing care, please mention them in the intake form.

ONLINE AND IN-PERSON

How consultations are delivered

The intake form is completed online ahead of the session, and the consultation itself takes place via video call.  This makes it accessible to clients anywhere in the UK - and means your animal can remain in their own environment, which is often the most useful setting for discussing behaviour and daily routine.

Online consultations are available year-round.  In-person consultations - where I visit you at home - are available across Essex and surrounding counties from September to May.
